Right Reverend V, Industria, Chardonnay, Margaret River
£19.99

Tasting notes:

The Right Reverend V ‘Industria’ (meaning persistence/integrity) Chardonnay is sourced from a vineyard in Margaret River – chosen for its cooler micro-climate presenting purity and linear acid profile.

Brilliant in colour, this wine displays white peach and citrus on the bouquet and a touch of toasty oak. On the palate, these nuances intensify and manifest themselves. While the wine has spent eleven months in French oak barriques, the oak is beautifully crafted and integrated, with no other techniques used to pollute the purity of the variety. This wine shows best with brasserie roast chicken or international cheeses, and will cellar for four to five years.

Parcels of fruit were harvested from individually selected blocks in a single Margaret River vineyard. A mixture of clean and turbid juice was racked into a selection of new and aged French oak from several cooperages for barrel fermentation over 10 mths.

Background:

If ‘In Vino Veritas’ (in wine there’s truth), then surely this truth begins in the vineyard. The Right Reverend V by Vinaceous Wines are sourced from our most revered vineyards; vineyards that begin in Margaret River’s north, stretch south to Cape Leeuwin, and then continue south- west to the Great Southern region and to Mount Barker; these are the premium wine regions of Western Australia.

The Right Reverend V selects its chosen varietals from vineyards that cover over 670 hectares available across these two regions; cool climate Riesling from Mount Barker. Crisp Chardonnay from southern Margaret River. Dry, savoury Pinot Noir Rose from north Margaret River. And beautifully, brooding cabernets from Mount Barker.

Each wine is named after one of the seven virtues, designed to combat the seven deadly sins of mankind - temperance, integrity, patience and charity - all of which are also virtues in winemaking. Modern winemaking and unique stylistic interpretations with the enjoyment of fine food underlines our vision.
