Beronia Rueda Verdejo, DO Rueda
£15.99

After a year of research this unique verdejo vineyard was selected in the heart of Rueda. Typical cascajosos soil unique to the region. Stony soils that absorb the heat during the day and release during the night. Well ventilated, rich in calcium and magnesium with excellent drainage, giving maximum complexity to the grape.

WINEMAKING

A wine produced from two different harvests in the same vineyard. An early harvest with fermentation at high temperatures in order to achieve an explosion of aromas and notes of ripe stone fruits. Then a second later harvest fermentated at lower temperatures looking for maturity and more concentration and complexity on the palate. The resulting wine is a blend of the two distinct winemaking techniques to achieve an aromatic wine which is fresh, flavoursome and, at the same time, complex.

WINEMAKER´S NOTES

Beronia Rueda 2014 shows a bright pale yellow colour with hints of green. An intense nose with aromas of ripe stone fruits and aromatic herbs, with floral touches, fennel and freshly cut grass. On the mouth full, fruity and dry with a long finish. The wine has a balanced acidity and an attractive bitterness that is characteristic of the varietal.
