GreatWineOnline has selected a range of superb wines from across the globe. We represent Wineries in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America and Southern Europe to name but a few. Each winery encapsulates the style for which that region or country is best known. We look for quality, provenance and individuality and each deliver this in abundance.  We are very proud to be working with such fantastic people and wines.

MEET THE TEAM:

Penny Heyes - Director

Penny first got involved in wine when her father started making it from local fruit, and fermenting it in large jars in the airing cupboard! From there, she progressed to living and working with a Spanish Cava producing family near Barcelona. To this day, when asked, and even when not, she will wax lyrical about the merits of Cava over other sparkling wines -with the exception of Digby of course!

Penny has worked in many different product fields, with quality being her main focus, and creating the best offer for the consumer, with that something extra!   Recently she has been working with some of our supplier wineries to prepare tours and special events which we will offer our customers.

At the moment, having recently returned from a trip to a winery in Tuscany, Italian wines are featuring heavily in her wine rack and on her dinner table!

Ewen Cameron - Director

Ewen first unleashed his drinks-industry talent in the Union Corner Wine Store (Leith Street, Edinburgh - now a carpet warehouse). He then spent time with Scottish & Newcastle, spending 10 delightful years as MD building up the wine side of their business into one of the largest wine wholesalers into the restaurant and off licence trade, Waverley Vintners.

More recently he has been Chairman of another drinks supplier to the on trade (Forth Wines) and is Chairman of a superb English Sparkling wine company (Digby Fine English) which you will find on our site.

Apart from Digby, and a good malt whisky, Ewen’s wine choice is eclectic…and he is always happy to try something new and different. Ewen is not good with technology and occasionally gets cross with inanimate objects...
