Cantina di Montecchia di Crosara
The sweet hills and the gentle slopes of Val d’Alpone is stunning, with its volcanic rock, a grey / black stone, near the village of Bolca, which is famous for its fossils.
Right in the centre of this valley, Montecchi di Crosare, “the city of wine” is an important agricultural centre in the middle of this fabulous countryside.
The vineyards are scattered with cherry trees and bordered by forest reflecting the natural beauty of this land . In this context the Cantina di Montecchia winery, with its many cooperative production members, represents a reference point for local viticulture.
In between the valley / plain and the hills there are currently around 1500 hectares under cultivation, with local grapes being grown alongside more internationally know varieties
