Great Wine Online - a brief history

Great Wine Online was set up in 2006 to import wines from it's sister company, Rickety Bridge Winery from Franschhoek in South Africa. During 2008 we expanded slowly and started importing from other South African wineries, namely;

We very much concentrated on sourcing fantastic wines that complemented each other and offered great value for money.

2009 and onwards - a whole world of wine

During 2009, we decided to expand our offering and search out good quality wines from wineries in the other main wine producing countries in the world. In line with our aim of offering our customers wines of high quality made by smaller producers, we have chosen the range very carefully. We are now pleased to be able to offer wines from South America, Australia, New Zealand as well as the fine wine regions of France, Italy and Spain. We will continue to search out new wineries and find new wines that we believe our customers will enjoy, and bring them directly to your door!

We are now also offering a Wine Plan to all customers -so you can choose to receive a regular deliery of wine by the case, as often as you choose. Click here to fnd out more.
